Financial
News - European
For coverage of general
economic news, and in particular, European money matters, you can't do better
than these -
Bloomberg - If money's involved, they
cover it.
There are zillions of
financial sites, many of which require hefty subscription fees. Since this
is not a financial newsletter, I won't even attempt a review.
Wall
Street Journal - requires a subscription to use their web site. Unless you're already getting
it, stick to Bloomberg.
Financial
Times - Europe's
leading financial paper. Another goodie and mostly free to use.
Financial
News - Irish
Sunday
Business Post - is the weekly financial paper in Ireland. It appears on its eponymous day.
The Business Post's web site carries most of the articles found in the paper.
Irish
Times - The
most popular Irish site of all. Good daily coverage of the news and lots of
articles about Irish money matters. They're now charging for accessing
their archives. Beware - bean
counters at work!
Irish
Independent - Financial reporting is reasonable, but the best reason to take a look at
the financial section of the Irish Independent is for its columnists.
Financial News - Irish, Tax Free Non-Resident
Accounts, The
Banks, Investment
Advice from a major Accounting Firm and other topics are discussed in the Full Site. It is surprisingly difficult to open a bank account in Ireland - this topic is covered in some depth. Also transferring money from and to overseas accounts, credit histories, and more.
